Kamar alArsis has been crowned as the top student barista at the UCLU Student BaristaChampionships, beating off dozens of other fellow students, with LeanneChorekdjian as runner up.
The challenge was organised by UCLU, the representative body for around8,000 University College London students, in conjunction with Johnsons Coffee,as part of Fair–Trade Fortnight.
Competitionwas stiff across the campus, which hosts over 180 clubs and societies covering a wide range of sporting, culturaland artistic interests, as well as a number of bars, cafes and shops.
Philip Mills, SalesDirector, Johnson Brothers and a top Barista himself, judged the Championshipsand was extremely impressed by the very high standards demonstrated by all thestudents.
