The crew of SOS Bus NI has called on two dragons andthe local community to help raise much needed funds for the services that SOSand its many volunteers provide.
The team at SOS has organised its first Community Dragon Boat Race on the River Lagan on Saturday 29thSeptember 2012, with a special perpetual cup and medals for the winners upfor grabs.
In addition to the competition, a variety of activitiesare being provided to guarantee fun for everyone attending the event. The location enjoys fantastic views over theLagan where refreshments can be enjoyed at the Johnson Coffee Dock. The eventwill start at 10.30am with races continuing throughout the day.
Philip Mills, Group Sales Director at Johnson Brotherswho are supporting the event said, “We are very pleased to be supporting thisevent and providing the Johnsons Coffee Dock, to help in raising funds for SOSBus NI and the valuable service provided by the many volunteers involved”.
Together,SOS working with the emergency services makes a real difference to the mostvulnerable and needy on the streets of Belfast. All monies raised at the eventwill benefit both the people helped by SOS and partner statutory agencies, helping to save even more lives and free up essential services in thecommunity.
