Action Cancer staff recently visited Johnsons Coffee for a training day and took the opportunity to say ‘Thank You’ to Johnsons Coffee for all their efforts in raising over £210,000 for the charity, over the past three years. Dougie King, Head of Fundraising & Communications at Action Cancer made the presentation to Philip Mills, Group Sales Director.
Dougie commented, “We are very grateful to everyone at Johnsons Coffee who have helped raise this tremendous amount through sponsorship of our Paint The Town Pink campaign.
As a result, we have provided 2,600 free breast cancer screening sessions for women in Northern Ireland. Most of those women have been reassured that they do not have the disease. However, we have also detected 15 breast cancers in women at an early and more treatable stage. So, with Johnsons Coffee support we have saved lives of local women and look forward to doing so in the months and years to come.”
Philip Mills, Group Sales Director at Johnson Brothers commented, “Johnsons Coffee is a local roaster and part of the local community, so we are delighted to help such a worthy cause and the great work done by Action Cancer in Northern Ireland.”
